Staff at the Petrikov Sylvinite Processing Plant made their first loading of standard potassium chloride into bulk containers through the loading hatches on the top thereof.
Each general-purpose container has a capacity of 30 tonnes. Bulk container is manufactured from a welded frame with linings of corrugated rolled metal and has a plywood floor.
Bulk containers are designed to carry bulk goods, packaged or non-packed. The container is perfect for transportation of fertilizers and chemicals.
They can be transported by road, rail or sea. The design does not require any additional packaging, has special openings for loading and unloading in bulk and is highly airtight.
Special bulk carriers enable raw materials to be transported safely and reliably to their destination and speed up loading and unloading operations without the need for manual labour.
The train consisting of 23 platforms and 46 containers headed for the ports of St. Petersburg.
JSC Belaruskali intends to acquire and further use a sufficient number of bulk containers at other Production Units.
